What you’ll be doing

You will be a key member of the Health & Social Care Sector team, primarily responsible for supporting income generation and optimising Return on Equity within the Health & Social Care portfolio. A core part of the role involves assisting in the sourcing of high-quality customers and strengthening the team’s brand visibility across both local and national markets, particularly among advisors and the wider investor community. You’ll help evaluate and generate new opportunities with prospective customers, supporting the conversion of new-to-bank relationships while also contributing to the ongoing development of existing customer partnerships. Alongside this, you will support the team in building strong networks with key players across the sector, reinforcing our reputation as a leading provider of innovative and appropriate funding solutions. The role requires strong organisational skills, effective relationship management, and confident project management. You will help maintain excellent levels of customer service and ensure new-to-bank customers experience a seamless onboarding journey. This includes working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to coordinate activity and deliver a smooth, professional experience from first contact through to completion.

About you

As a minimum, you’ll have:

  • Basic knowledge of, and an obvious passion for, the health and social care sector
  • Experience of creating a best practice service environment that provides unique value to customers whilst being commercially attractive to the organisation
  • Knowledge and experience within the Corporate and Structured Finance market and experience in financial and non-financial appraisal techniques together with report writing
  • Cash flow analytical skills with significant experience of analysing a customer's financial statements and cash flow cycles to provide the most appropriate solutions (e.g. ratio analysis, understand cash drivers, working capital and operating cycles);
  • Confident working with and developing complex cash flow models in Excel with an in-depth understanding of compliance and risk as it relates to the role
  • Excellent networking, verbal and written communication skills to influence and support decision making and getting things done – right first time – for the customer
  • A relevant industry or vocational financial services qualification, such as Chartered Accountant or Chartered Banker

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind
  • Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand
  • Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development
  • Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
