Senior Data Privacy Analyst (GDPR)

Swindon or Northampton office

Hybrid role (x2 days on site/ x3 work from home)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Data Privacy professional to join the Data Privacy team to support and provide pragmatic guidance and advice to the business on compliance with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation.

Meeting the requirements of data protection legislation and the expectations of our members to protect their information is a key priority at Nationwide. The role sits within Security & Resilience who work with the business to make sure services, money and data are available and secure at all times.

What you’ll be doing

This is a great opportunity to widen your experience of and exposure to all levels of the organisation, working to make sure compliance with Data Protection legislation is maintained and understood.

You’ll be working closely with other Security teams, answering queries, supporting new projects and initiatives alongside maintaining and completing relevant governance documentation such as Legitimate Interests Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments.

About you

  • Experience of working within a Regulated organisation and / or a Data Privacy function
  • Attention to detail, recognising the importance of good governance and supporting to achieve our requirements in this area
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, to articulate these important DP matters and function to a range of stakeholders up to and including “Head-of” level will be required
  • Be motivated and passionate about your subject
  • Have the ability to meet challenging deadlines to a high standard
  • Be an excellent team player and able to work on own initiative
  • Have a working knowledge of the GDPR and the DPA 2018 and it’s practical application
