As our Product Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of products for the business services market, involved in proposition development, pricing, monitoring performance, and ensuring exceptional value for our customers.
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. The working hours for this role can be between 28 and 35 per week. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are created through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Swindon or Northampton office.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll help set the strategic direction by reviewing the competitive landscape and working across the business to bring plans to life.
- You’ll take ownership of product performance, ensuring we understand how customers use and perceive our savings solutions and that they achieve fair outcomes.
- You’ll lead projects across the Group, providing product expertise and keeping customer fairness at the heart of everything we do.
- You’ll build deep knowledge of our policies and processes, ensuring robust controls are in place to protect both customers and Nationwide.
- When things occasionally go wrong, you’ll work with colleagues to put them right and implement measures to prevent them from happening again.
About you:
- You’ll have product management experience with good knowledge and experience of the banking industry.
- An ability to clearly present information to senior executives in the Society as well as the wider team.
- Experience of stakeholder management with strong collaboration skills and of building strong relationships with colleagues across the business.
- A track record of analysing processes, policies and procedures, with a curious and inquisitive mind to spot opportunities and make improvements.
- A good understanding of the business financial services market and/or savings products.
