As a Business Savings Consultant, you’ll play an instrumental part in completing all aspects of customer service and administration, from application stage through to completion and account administration. Managing an active portfolio of Business Savings applications, establishing relationships with professionals and taking inbound calls from prospective and existing customers will be but a few of your tasks.
As we pride ourselves on providing a world class customer experience you will have proven skills in customer service, a high level of attention to detail, a professional can-do attitude, and the desire to further your skills in these areas. At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK-wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at our Northampton office. If you are aligned to our Glasgow hub (as this is your nearest location), there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. This is anticipated to be weekly in Glasgow.
If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
Virgin Money is now part of Nationwide. Nationwide acquired Virgin Money in October 2024. Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process. If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
Responsibilities
You’ll be managing your own individual workload, predominantly focusing on reviewing and updating the information that we hold for our customers, ensuring appropriate risk ratings are in place, aligned to our regulatory responsibilities. This will involve researching and understanding our customers through public sources, completing adverse media searches, and contacting the customer via email and telephone calls when needed to ensure that we have a full and accurate reflection of the business. You may also be asked to support other areas of Business Savings, for which you will be provided with full and comprehensive training beforehand.
