We’re looking for a Lead Manager on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to lead a fantastic part of the team who are responsible for setting the strategic direction for our products, managing key projects as well as proactively identifying ways to stop things going wrong and fixing them when they sometimes do.

For this job you\'ll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you\'ll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Swindon or Northampton office. What you’ll be doing

As a Lead Manager within our team you’ll:

  • Lead key projects across the Society providing product expertise and helping to ensure that fair member outcomes remain at the heart everything we do.
  • Work with the team to build a detailed knowledge of our policies, processes and procedures, ensuring that robust controls are in place to protect members and the Society.
  • Work with people across the Society to get the support we need to put things right, when they do sometimes go wrong, and the necessary controls to stop it from happening again.
  • Create an atmosphere of confidence and accountable freedom to deliver the solutions, developing and maintaining strategic, commercial and operational relationships.

About you

Playing such an important role within the team means you’ll have:

  • A good understanding savings products with a successful track record of interpreting and translating your knowledge into tangible outputs and requirements.
  • Established leadership experience in financial services product management.
  • Experience working in a product team with strong leadership experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to nurture and lead a high performing team being conscious of how to adapt your approach to support individual styles and preferences.
  • The ability to clearly present information to lead executives in the Society as well as the wider team.
  • Impeccable stakeholder management and collaboration skills - building strong relationships with colleagues across the Society and using a range of influencing skills to help us reach positive outcomes.
  • A curious and inquisitive mind - spending time analysing processes, policies and procedures and spotting opportunities to make improvements that protect our members and the Society.
  • Strong resilience and able to handle challenges and setbacks, being adaptable and able to work collaboratively to respond positively to gain consensus on the way forward.
