As a Product Manager within the Transactional Products team, you’ll play a leading role in managing our products and developing new propositions that put customers first. Working end to end across product design, delivery, and performance, you’ll help us attract and retain business customers by delivering simple, rewarding and competitive banking propositions that meet the evolving needs of UK businesses.
The Business Transactional Products team is responsible for the strategic vision, ongoing evolution and commercial performance of our Business Current Account and Business Credit Card products and propositions. We operate on an end-to-end model, covering proposition design and development, product management and manage the trading and performance of our products.
As a Product Manager within the Transactional Products team, you will design, develop and deliver new propositions to market, managing our Transactional Products through their lifecycle, delivering strong customer outcomes which support Nationwide’s ambitious growth plans. Working closely with teams across Group Business Banking and beyond, your work will have a direct impact on how businesses join, use and value Nationwide for their everyday banking, supporting both improved customer experience and sustainable commercial performance.

This is anticipated to be weekly in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Responsibilities
- As a Product Manager within our Transactional Products team, you’ll take a leading role in managing our business transactional products day to day, making sure they continue to meet the changing needs of UK businesses.
- You’ll work closely with colleagues across Business Banking to design and deliver new business current account and credit card propositions using a customer-first approach, balancing great experiences with strong commercial outcomes.
- A typical day will involve identifying ways in which we can improve onboarding and in-life customer journeys, reviewing product performance, developing ways to better understand what matters to our customers, and driving initiatives that strengthen our propositions.
- You’ll also work with stakeholders across the business to ensure risks are well managed and that our products are compliant and delivering good customer outcomes in line with our Consumer Duty obligations.
About you
As a minimum requirement, you’ll have:
- Experience working as a product manager, product owner, or in a similar role managing products and delivering change.
- A clear understanding of product and proposition development across the full product lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to put customers at the heart of decision-making, using insight to shape products and journeys.
- Experience of product performance management, including the use of key performance metrics to identify customer behaviours and trends.
- Exceptional understanding of the UK banking market, particularly business products and propositions.
- Working knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, including Consumer Duty and its impact on product design and delivery.
- Experience leading or contributing to change initiatives within a complex organisation.
