Engineer – Core Banking – Engineering Lead – SAP Banking role at Nationwide Building Society.
Nationwide is undergoing a bold transformation—consolidating systems into a unified SAP-based ecosystem and modernising to SAP S/4 Transactional Banking. You’ll lead a diverse engineering team to simplify and reimagine the core banking technology landscape and enable faster delivery of new products.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team.
- Drive simplification and modernisation of the core banking stack.
- Collaborate with SAP Fioneer to build cutting-edge capabilities.
- Solve real-world integration challenges with practical, scalable solutions.
- Act as a catalyst for innovation and pace across the product delivery pipeline.
About you
- Experience with large-scale, complex systems and integrations on the SAP Banking Services technology stack.
- Expertise in SAPF Deposits Management, particularly end-to-end card master data management and Mandates processing.
- Understanding of SAPF Core Banking Architecture and future roadmap.
- Hands-on experience with software architecture and design principles, system analysis and configuration.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to cut through complexity.
- Natural leader and mentor who brings out the best in others.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, translating tech into strategy.
