Data Administrator - Part-time and Flexible Working

MongoDB DBA London or Swindon office Hybrid (x2 days on site/ x3 Work from home) As a MongoDB Database Administrator you will be working in project teams designing, building and maintaining MongoDB databases and infrastructure to provide strong business solutions. For this job you\’ll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you\’ll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Swindon, Northampton or Bournemouth offices. If you are based outside of our Swindon and London offices, there is the requirement to attend Swindon or London once a month for workshops, collaboration and ad/hoc meetings. Working within the delivery teams you will work collaboratively with others to build the best solutions for Nationwide using your technical leadership skills and SME knowledge to offer advice/consultancy, build systems and work through problems to provide solid working solutions within the Mongo DB space. Providing guidance and direction to less experienced Engineers to help create fit for purpose designs and/or solutions to meet the team objectives. You will have a proven track record in providing technical delivery through the design, build and implementation of MongoDB and ideally you will have in depth knowledge & experience of the following: Operating system concepts of Linux Configuring and supporting MongoDB OpsManager for Backups and Deployments Supporting document based JSON data structures, exporting and importing documents Assisting development and testing teams with troubleshooting within MongoDB and tuning performance, application workload and index recommendations Be comfortable working across multiple projects and immersing yourself in a team Be ready to share your expertise with our emerging talent Experience building relationships with both technical and business stakeholders, gaining their respect and trust based on your knowledge and professionalism Network and infrastructure security concepts Agile project management methodologies and scrum agile framework Regulatory environments such as PCI and GDPR Network and infrastructure security concepts It’s also about being clear, precise, and using language that we and, importantly, our customers and members can understand.
