For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional office or hub. Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
As a Product Manager in Personal Loans, you’ll take ownership of shaping and delivering our product strategy. This means designing and enhancing products and services that strike the right balance between customer needs, commercial goals and risk priorities. You’ll use data and insights to understand customer segments and the wider market context, turning these into actionable recommendations. Collaboration will be at the heart of your role as you work closely with teams across Nationwide to build business cases, define requirements and implement changes that improve the end-to-end experience while ensuring great customer outcomes.
Strong relationships and influence will be key as you align stakeholders to move ideas forward and deliver on strategic goals. You’ll also monitor product performance and prioritise activities that drive success.
About you
As a minimum, you’ll bring:
- Experience with retail banking products, ideally Personal Loans and an understanding of each stage of the customer journey
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex, unstructured problems
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills to build relationships and deliver positive outcomes across the organisation
- The ability to translate market data, customer insights and commercial awareness into actionable recommendations and solutions
- Strong commercial acumen, with a proven track record of managing or influencing a product’s P&L
- The capability to prioritise effectively, make sound decisions and deliver results
