We are looking for a PMO Manager to join the Virgin Money Integration Programme, working within one or more of the workstreams supporting the delivery teams. As a PMO Manager you’ll be monitoring and analysing investment funded change delivery, which includes the tracking of funded outcomes and underlying milestones. You will undertake Value Stream/Strategic Programme quality assurance reviews using tools and in-depth knowledge to make insightful recommendations that may impact the health or effectiveness of the delivery and see them through to conclusion.
While your role will be aligned to the Virgin Money Integration, you will also be an active and integral member of the PMO Practice. The Practice drives consistency and improvement across all our PMO Services at Nationwide, as well as shaping a community of practitioners that shares best practice, supports personal development and networking with PMO colleagues across Nationwide functions. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 30 and 35 hours. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job you’ll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you’ll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London, Bournemouth or Northampton office. Whilst these locations are where we are primarily looking to fill the role, if you’re an internal applicant based in a different location we would welcome your application and if successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this could work for this specific role.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract role. If based outside of our Swindon and London offices, there is the expectation to attend ad/hoc meetings or workshops at these locations roughly once a month. If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.
What you’ll be doing
- Working closely with the Leadership Team, Delivery Leads and Product Owners, you’ll be co-ordinating and supporting the creation and on-going maturing of performance metrics and bring analytical insight to identify key callouts, dependencies & impediments, risks, changes to delivery and identify pathways to resolution that enables us to deliver faster and more cost efficiently.
- You will be leading on turning complex data analysis and insight into consumable management information with key stakeholders, providing options and solutions for effective decision making and prioritisation.
- You’ll design and implement governance approaches which are fit for purpose.
- You’ll complete assurance reviews aligning to our Value Delivery Framework and identify corrective actions and ensure these are actioned.
- Working as part of the PMO Practice, you’ll actively drive efficiencies and identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive consistency and best practice across change delivery functions at Nationwide.
