As a Business Support Consultant in Collections & Recoveries’ Business Support team, you’ll have the opportunity to play an important role across all change, planning and reporting activities helping to deliver its purpose of helping customers who are experiencing financial hardship.
In this newly created role, you will help bring together all teams in C&R to prioritise, plan, report on and communicate our change activity, ranging from large organisational deliveries to smaller pieces of work, all are vital in our pursuit to better serve our colleagues and customers.
You will play a key role in the end-to-end change process, from supporting the effectiveness of our prioritisation process, to helping plan and understand work deliveries, to reporting progress through our change committee and then the exciting part – communicating the progress we are making against our strategic plan across our teams.
You’ll be a strategic thinker, who enjoys managing and growing stakeholder relationships, acting as a subject matter expert. The team is very small, so the successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives when pushing for better and working independently.

What you’ll be doing
- Own our prioritisation framework and process ensuring new requests for change, governance, supporting materials are all efficient and effective aligning to organisation standards and best practice
- Using your strong analytical skills you’ll work across teams to review our change and backlog MI to spot trends and patterns helping us to work at pace to identify and fix problems and opportunities
- You’ll help us improve our quarterly planning process which means you’ll have regular engagement with senior leadership, so a high standard of business writing, verbal communication and influencing skills are crucial
- You’ll be spending time working across the Support leadership team bringing our strategic vision to life for our colleagues by creating and shaping communications, both written and visual
- You’ll put your report writing experience to good use every month supporting the submission of papers into our Change Committee
- You’ll support us shaping our future strategy & roadmap
- You’ll support the Head Of Business Support with adhoc projects and priorities
About you
As a minimum, you will have:
- Excellent collaboration and teamworking skills, able to work with a range of stakeholders, up to senior leadership (ExCo – 1)
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, allowing you to facilitate and present information to a variety of audiences, and to influence at all levels
- Strong analytical skills, allowing you to identify any data and MI opportunities, to help streamline change requirements and increase efficiency
- Proven experience in the successful management and delivery of project based activity
- Experience in producing high quality reports, presentations and papers suitable for senior stakeholders
- Knowledge of organisational systems, change best practice, core processes and governance frameworks
- Demonstrable experience of planning projects, end to end, within business support, supplier, change or project management environments
