We are looking for an individual with conveyancing or property valuation experience cases to ensure that they are within our risk appetite. You’ll need to be able to support and coach colleagues as well as uphold exemplary customer service standards.

This is a 12-month secondment opportunity.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

You will use your communication and analytical skills to liaise with our in-house Chartered Surveyors, and our valuation suppliers to deal with various legal and property related matters that could impact the value or suitability of a security, ensuring we deliver the best outcomes for our customers, and for the society.

A proactive attitude is desired for this role, as you will be expected to use your initiative to produce solutions to problems as well as working as a part team to resolve complex matters. The team work closely together, both in the office and over Teams, sharing knowledge, skills, and resource.

You will receive comprehensive training and learn a great deal about property, the systems, and the processes we use to protect our customers and the society.

About you

  • Demonstrable experience within Risk, Property, Mortgage valuations teams or relevant surveying experience

  • Those with experience within underwriting teams with strong written communication or transferable legal experience would also be considered.

  • Confident to articulate information through clear written and verbal communication. To differing levels of internal stakeholder

  • Ability to work under your own initiative, demonstrating an ability to solve problems and display the agility to pivot within differing scenarios or tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to make decisions in line with updated and current policy.

  • Innovative, keeping abreast of market changes and constantly looking for new ways of doing things.
