The team has a focused strategy for each of our brands. Through Nationwide For Intermediaries, we aim to be distinct, conspicuous, and the most recommended brand, and through The Mortgage Works we aim to be the most admired buy-to-let lender. We will continue to celebrate the long-established partnerships we have with intermediaries, and alongside this, deliver a greater level of support and experience to our landlords with their mortgage needs. Collaborating with the team, you will create and launch activity that creates a better, more personalised experience for our intermediaries and landlords through our email channel. Alongside the team, you will be responsible for ensuring our intermediary audiences have a great awareness of our brands and propositions, thinking highly of our ability to communicate effectively.

We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK-wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job, you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part-time, you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Bournemouth, London or Swindon office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.

  • You’ll be eager to see how the emails have performed and will use the tools to establish whether the activity was successful.
  • Additionally, you’ll be collaborating with others across the team and using tools like Excel to articulate successful outcomes.
  • You will also help to ensure our literature is always up to date and you’ll be keen to understand the value each piece of literature brings, making recommendations for future improvements.
  • Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will result in all work being delivered on time, managing queries effectively and efficiently.

About you

  • Some experience in marketing communications, either through a previous role, placement, apprenticeship, or relevant qualification.
  • A basic understanding of mortgages or financial services, or the curiosity and willingness to learn about mortgage products and intermediary audiences.
  • Experience using systems, processes, or digital tools accurately, showing strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage your time effectively, working on multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with examples of producing accurate, well-structured content.
  • A positive, adaptable approach, with the ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind.
  • Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand.
  • Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development.
  • Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes.

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
