We are looking for someone to join our Scotland sales team who will develop new business and support existing accounts across commercial, retail, hospitality and light-industrial customers throughout Scotland (with a focus on the Central Belt). This is a hybrid role covering Scotland, with a preference for candidates living near major transport links in the Central Belt. Occasional overnight travel may be required for customer meetings, events, or training. Comprehensive onboarding and product/sales training will be provided.
Key duties include:
- Identify and qualify new opportunities via outbound outreach, inbound enquiries, networking, and site visits.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline, update CRM daily, and forecast monthly results.
- Prepare compliant quotes for maintenance contracts, reactive works and small projects; coordinate technical inputs with engineering/estimating.
- Arrange and attend client meetings, undertake basic pre-survey fact-finding, and schedule technical surveys with engineers where required.
- Support senior colleagues with tender responses, pricing schedules and supporting documents.
- Brief delivery teams on scope, timescales, risks and customer expectations to ensure a smooth mobilisation.
- Upselling and account maximisation.
- Track competitor activity, pricing trends and upcoming projects in Scotland.
- Ensure proposals align with company policies, H&S standards and UK regulations.
Position Requirements:
- Based in Scotland within a commutable distance of the Central Belt (Glasgow/Edinburgh); willing to travel across Scotland and occasionally to other UK offices.
- Confident communicator with a professional phone manner and strong presentation skills.
- CRM-literate with solid admin skills; able to manage diaries, priorities and follow-ups independently.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams/SharePoint).
- Full UK driving license and comfortable with frequent travel.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirables:
- Experience in B2B sales (inside or field), telesales, or customer-facing roles—preferably within HVAC, building services, M&E, or related products (but not essential).
- Foundational understanding of air conditioning, VRF/VRV, AHUs, chillers or heat-pump concepts (full training provided).
- Experience selling service contracts (PPM), small-works projects or reactive call-outs.
- Familiarity with Scottish commercial sectors (retail parks, offices, hotels, leisure) and local procurement routes.
- Exposure to tenders/frameworks and assembling supporting documentation (H&S, insurances, accreditations).
- Use of a mainstream CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Joblogic CRM, Dynamics).
Salary & Benefits:
- Location: Scotland (field-based; Central Belt preferred – Glasgow/Edinburgh)
- Basic Salary: £23,809 – £26,000 DOE
- OTE: Over £40,000 - uncapped
- Commission: Sales commission and yearly bonus - uncapped
- Holidays: 30 days including Bank Holidays (increases with length of service)
- Profit-share scheme: Eligible after 12 months’ service
