Responsibilities
- Provide intensive, user‑centred support and advice to a caseload of refugee families.
- Build and manage constructive relationships with clients, building trust and managing cases over several months.
- Plan and prepare arrangements for new arrivals, including accommodation and practical arrangements.
- Refer families to appropriate service providers and support the contact process.
- Assist families with necessary paperwork to access services, making applications and claims.
- Maintain accurate case records and monitor data in line with the Service Level Agreement and provide reporting.
Qualifications
- Grades A‑C in GCSE.
- HND qualification or equivalent, or significant experience delivering person‑centred support.
- Formal qualification and/or relevant experience in the Refugee/Third sector.
- Experience providing benefits, housing or debt advice to vulnerable people.
- Experience making decisions about own caseload, managing time and prioritising workloads.
- Excellent knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector services related to benefits, housing and financial capability.
- Strong understanding of the UK benefits system, housing regulations and financial management.
- Experience managing a caseload of benefits, housing or financial capability.
- Understanding of UK benefits system processes and housing regulations.
- Experience working within a diverse team to achieve client outcomes.
- Strong ICT skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Flexible work hours to meet service needs.
