Job Description

Respond to service requests for new and replacement recycling containers and wheeled bins. The post involves physically loading, transporting and delivering new and replacement wheeled bins, recycling boxes and bags to residential or commercial properties. A full valid UK driving licence is essential for this post.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests for new or replacement recycling containers by delivering, exchanging and removing wheeled bins and recycling containers from properties.
• Safely load and unload bins and recycling containers from storage and onto vehicles.
• Prepare wheeled bins and recycling containers for reuse or redistribution by washing.
• Prepare damaged wheeled bins and recycling containers for disposal by removing wheels and lids and stacking them into containers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education to GCSE level.
• Understanding of sustainable waste management, recycling and related environmental issues.
• Ability to communicate in English (essential) and Welsh (desirable).
• Proficient in word processing, email, and presentation computer software.
• Well‑organised, responsible and able to work unsupervised.
• Experience of community engagement and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team, with good communication skills.
• Manual handling required for loading of vehicle and delivery of recycling containers.
• Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to different locations within the County Borough.
