Base pay range
We’re looking for an Apprenticeship Officer to join us on a fixed-term basis. You’ll play a key role in delivering our goal of 130 new apprenticeships, designed to attract young people from all backgrounds. You’ll help shape and run the programme, supporting apprentices, line managers, and mentors, while building strong relationships with training providers.
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we can’t confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it’s unlikely to be more than 12 months.
We’d love to hear more about you, therefore, along with your CV, please include a cover letter of no more than 500 words detailing how your experience relates to the role.
What it\’s like to work here
Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager, you’ll support a specific programme alongside wider apprenticeship activity. This role includes some travel and occasional overnight stays.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there’ll be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there’s flexibility on where you’re based at other times. You’ll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This’ll be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you\’ll be doing
Working with the Apprenticeship Manager, you’ll support recruitment and communications, manage data, respond to complex queries, and act as a key point of contact for both internal teams and external partners. You’ll collaborate closely with training providers, model excellent customer service, and provide expert guidance across the business while maintaining confidentiality.
You’ll manage specified budgets in line with Trust procedures, oversee block weeks, induction, and graduation content, and lead on all aspects of the programme from recruitment and onboarding to post-completion support. You’ll also monitor progress, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement to ensure the programme remains high quality and fit for the future.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don\’t need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
