Are you passionate about agriculture and looking for a hands-on role that makes a real impact? The British Texel Sheep Society is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual to support members, engage commercial producers, develop young people, and deliver shows, sales and events across the UK.
Location: Hybrid – with flexible working. Routine attendance at Stoneleigh Park Office, Kenilworth, Warwickshire and travel across the UK throughout the year.
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Reports to: British Texel Sheep Society Chief Executive
Applicants must have a flexible approach to working hours/days as they will vary in line with the needs of the Society during the busy periods. Due to the nature of the role, work at evening, weekend or bank holiday events along with occasional overnight stays is required. Attending events is an integral part of the role, requiring your own vehicle.
What you will be working on:
- Supporting the Society’s Events & Sales Cataloguing Manager
- Managing Society Events including Royal Shows, NSA Events and National Sales
- Creating engaging content for Society communications (publications, advertisements, social media, website and emails)
- Assisting with Sales Cataloguing production and promotion
- Contributing to the Society’s Youth Development Programme
- Supporting the Data & Technical Services Manager with data flow in support of society registry & technical services
