Team Leaders play a vital role in ensuring the people we support receive high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing, while leading and supporting staff to deliver outstanding support.
The Team Leader Role
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred support, ensuring the people we support are empowered to live fulfilling lives within their community. The role involves participating in on call duties, working day shifts, sleepover shifts and weekends. You will act as the front-line manager, supporting approximately 12 colleagues, while also completing essential administrative, compliance and operational tasks to ensure the service runs safely and effectively. Shifts are on a rota-based basis over 7 days per week: day shifts 7am–10pm, sleep-ins and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a team to deliver person-centred support
- Providing hands-on support and role-modeling best practice
- Completing weekly payroll tasks and rotas
- Completing weekly audits and quality checks in line with compliance requirements
- Overseeing medication management and online care systems
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met
- Supporting and reviewing individual support packages
- Working closely with professionals and families
- Ensuring CQC standards, company policies and legislation are adhered to
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
- Experience motivating and managing a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
