The Vacancy
We are looking to recruit a Paralegal to join our Legal team to assist in the conduct of proceedings on behalf of children and young people represented by NYAS. You will work under the direction of the Director of Legal Services to ensure compliance with the Legal Aid Agency Contract Compliance requirements. You will assist fee earners with caseloads and attend court with counsel.
In your application, you will need to evidence, using specific examples, how your skills and experience meet the criteria laid out in the person specification. Requirements include:
- Be committed to the provision of independent representation for children and young people
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and to ensure deadlines are met
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral and a good telephone manner
