National World is a national, regional and local multimedia organisation based in the UK. We are the UK’s fastest growing regional publisher and provide news and information services to our communities through our portfolio of publications and websites.

We are currently looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Media Sales Executive to join our team in Sheffield/Rotherham. You will be selling our multimedia product portfolio to lapsed, new and current customers. You will contact customers through outbound calling/emails and will become their media partner, creating creative solutions for their advertising needs.

Your duties will include (but are not restricted to):

  • Developing a sales activity plan that will exceed the revenue targets and KPIs to include required number of calls with both new and existing clients
  • Developing a clear understanding of the customer’s business needs by following quality conversations, and then matching needs to the product range
  • Creating and delivering an effective media sales proposition over the phone that meets the customer’s needs and the Group objectives
  • Actively reviewing advertising campaigns with the customer on a regular basis to ensure needs are met and a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved
  • Delivering outstanding customer care
  • Educating customers in the new products and propositions that will enhance their business performance
  • Ensuring effective communication channels exist both externally and internally to ensure the customer and business needs are achieved

We are looking for someone who will support a culture where the focus is on delivering the highest standard of customer service to ensure an excellent customer experience. You will need to demonstrate a positive can do attitude and be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

Key experience needed:

  • Outbound sales
  • Strong team player, engaging, confident and flexible in approach, with a passion for quality
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Outstanding customer service skills
