National Windscreens is the UK's largest independent automotive glass repair and replacement specialist. The company operates more than 100 fitting centres and over 800 mobile technicians throughout the country. As a Trainee Technician at National Windscreens ELGIN, you will be part of our Trainee Program which means:

  • You will receive high standard quality training delivered by experienced and qualified trainers and technicians.
  • You will work towards achieving a nationally recognised qualification in Automotive Glazing to NVQ level 2 and 3.
  • After 10 weeks of training including classroom-based learning and real experience with other qualified Technicians, you will be able to work independently.
  • You will receive ongoing support and assistance ensuring you remain up to date with techniques and processes.
  • If selected, you will also receive training on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration, hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and your customers.
  • Once trained, your job will be to repair and replace windscreens and body glass, and to provide our customers with excellent service.

We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals who are eager to join a dynamic fast-growing company, where people are the heart of our business. No previous experience is needed, but you will be motivated to learn new skills to support your personal development and growth. You will be practical and enjoy an interactive hands-on learning experience, working alongside accredited technicians to deliver excellent customer service. A driving licence is essential as you will be travelling to customer locations within your designated area. You must be comfortable with physical work and driving to meet the customer at their location.
