Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Leeds office.
Salary: £23,000

We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Finance Intern to join our NWF Finance team for a year in industry. As the Finance Intern, you will gain a breadth of experience across all areas of the NWF Finance team including Financial Operations, Treasury, Financial Controls and Financial Planning and Analysis. This is a unique opportunity to work within a small team with an important big mandate, with exposure to complex financial transactions in a dynamic environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist in financial data entry by recording transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations.
- Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and ratio analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by gathering data, updating models, and preparing reports.
- Participate in audits and compliance reviews.
- Conduct research e.g. industry trends, financial standards and financial regulations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Must be studying toward a degree in a discipline relevant to Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop productive working relationships.
- Excellent research skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality output at pace.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concisely and compellingly.
