Minimum of 1 year job-specific experience required with ability to independently build client relations, coordinate and deliver grooming services.
- Job Duties
- Perform professional grooming services for dogs and cats, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, hand scissoring, de-shedding, nail trims, ear cleaning, and breed‑specific styling.
- Ensure every pet is handled with patience, compassion, and the highest safety standards.
- Identify skin, coat, or health concerns and communicate observations to the veterinary team.
- Provide outstanding customer service and grooming consultations with pet owners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming salon.
- Care for and maintain grooming equipment.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing daily workflow.
- Help develop grooming protocols, pricing, and service offerings.
- Mentor and support future grooming staff as the department grows.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of professional grooming experience.
- Strong knowledge of breed‑specific cuts and grooming techniques.
- Experience grooming dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments; cat grooming experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent animal handling and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a veterinary team.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism.
