We enjoy being part of the horse and local community supporting small and A-rated shows along with youth sports. Responsibilities: A passionate horse professional looking to reach your potential as a veterinarian. Like playing a part in enriching people’s lives by bringing knowledge, experience, and peace of mind to horse owners and horse enthusiasts. ER Clinician: Enjoy the adrenaline rush of emergency care and have a way of keeping others calm in the worst of situations. Enjoy the challenge of working with different disciplines at varied levels of competition and value. The Practice: Located 30 miles south of Boston and 20 miles north of Cape Cod. Known in the community to provide the highest level of medical and surgical care. Well compensated doctors plus interns, 4 CVTs/veterinary assistants, 3 front desk, and 2 back office personnel who enjoy working in a positive service-oriented environment. Clients range from high-end sport horse and racetrack clientele, to pleasure horse, breeding stock, miniatures, and 4H/Pony clubbers. Fully equipped vehicles (each with DR/Ultrasound/Laptop); 2 shockwave machines, 3 1-meter scopes, 2 gastroscopes. Full-service hospital including surgery, gastroscopy, a complete reference lab, 14 stalls, and a standing MRI. Takes time off seriously, and loves educating our staff and clients. Mentoring students and two interns keeps us learning at the same time. We reduce horse suffering and act to enrich the lives of our patients allowing them to realize their potential by staying current and offering the best options for each individual horse and owner. The Position: 2 or 3 nights each week and every other weekend. The day starts afternoon to pick up any of that day’s urgent calls and then covers the practice ambulatory calls (as well as other local practitioners’ calls at times) overnight. Your shift ends at 8:00 am. Saturday morning and afternoon appointments for wellness or follow-ups are also a potential for this position. This is a great opportunity for personal and professional growth, allowing you to achieve your full potential. The position will allow you to further utilize your skills as you help the practice attain its vision. Minutes from the ocean, and beaches, 20 minutes from Cape Cod, within 2 hours of great skiing, and all the culture and sports Boston has to offer. Our complete compensation package is commensurate with your contribution to the team and success of the practice. Requirements: Massachusetts and RI veterinary licenses. Valid driver\’s license. At least 2 years of clinical experience or a completed internship. A sense of humor. Compensation: Generous base plus monthly commissions and emergency fees. No ceiling to earning potential.
