The Role
To manage the daily flow of materials, components and supplies required for each vehicle conversion project. To ensure the control and distribution of materials to support production schedules, minimizing downtime, and maintain cost efficiency. The ideal candidate would be highly organised, detailed focused and experienced in inventory control within a manufacturing or automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management
Maintain accurate stock records of all parts, components, and consumables on site. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or production delays. Be responsible for monthly stock counts and provide quality information of stock inventory to accounts. Organise and optimise warehouse storage for efficiency and accessibility. Ensure the quality and quality of each part, component or supplies when checking parts through goods in receipting. - Production support
Issue materials lineside to fitting operatives as per production schedule requirements. Coordinate material staging for upcoming vehicle builds. Work closely with operations staff / procurement team to anticipate material needs. Liaise with fitters and auto-electricians to ensure reduced production down time. - Documentation & Systems
Maintain accurate receiving and distribution transactions using the company software systems. Prepare reports on inventory levels and material usage. Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards. - Compliance & Safety
Ensure proper handling and storage of all conversion parts, tools, and hazardous materials (if applicable). Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse/stores environment. Follow all workplace health and safety regulations.

- Quality and Assurance: Audit Compliance Score: Results from internal/external quality or 5S audits. Error / Defect Rate: Number of shortages per build or incorrect stock. Monitor Quality: record reject parts and inform team in a time frame to receive replacement parts.
- Resources and Material Management: Parts Availability Rate: Instances of line stoppage due to missing components.
- Continuous Improvement: 5S Adherence: Frequency and outcome of workplace organisation audits. Issue Resolution Lead Time: Time taken to resolve reported material issue.
Essential Skills for Role:
- A full FLT license for the movement of materials.
- Experience in audits such as 5S to drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of material-based software such as Sage etc.
- High organisational skills.
- Quality focused to identify any part defects.
