Role Summary

We have a position available for skilled operative to assist with maintaining our modern fleet of trucks and car transporter trailers. Ideally, applicants will have knowledge and experience of either mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems repair & maintenance.

Requirements

  • Must hold full HGV license
  • Must be competent to use hand tools and basic workshop equipment
  • Have basic mechanical skills
  • Organized and self-motivated
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good time keeping and eagerness to learn and share knowledge
  • Flexible and can-do attitude
  • Able to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and focused
  • Cope with multiple tasks and work on your own initiative with good attention to detail

Main duties

  • Carry out general mechanical, hydraulic and fabrication repairs to a fleet of trucks & trailers.
  • Move vehicles to and from subcontractors for the purpose of maintenance and repairs
  • Assist as needed in transporter refurb/re-life.
  • Complete housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Assist mechanics and fabricators as needed.

Skill required.

  • Competent in using hand tools.
  • Competent in using power tools.

Health and safety

Full HGV driving license essential with current drivers card and current CPC.
