NVD UK Ltd has excellent career opportunities for HGV Mechanics at Birtley, Tyne & Wear. We require someone who is reliable, flexible, and prepared to work hard and able to communicate on a good level with a positive attitude to Health & Safety. This role is working on a three-day shift from 06:00 to 18:30 and full-time position based in the Birtley workshop. (for Example, the work pattern will be Monday to Wednesday, off 7 days, work from Thursday to Saturday, off Sunday and then repeat.

Requirements
- Must hold a formal qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Heavy plant experience will also be considered.
- HGV mechanical experience is a must.
- A Class one (C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.
- Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.
- Ideally have experience working with hydraulic systems.
- Full driving license.
Responsibilities
- Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT.
- Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.
- Assist with apprenticeship training.
