We are currently looking for a Resident Physician/ Senior Resident Physician (Endocrinology) to join the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital in Singapore. The doctor will be involved but not limited to:

  • In-patient cover:
  • Pre round with juniors – Medical Officers (MO) and House Officers (HO)
  • Morning round with consultant
  • Teaching sessions to MO, HO, pharmacist and nurses
  • Exit round with MO and HO
  • Supervise MO and HO in doing Procedures - Lumbar puncture, knee joint aspiration, etc.
  • Blue letter cover:
    • Review referral cases and then discussion with in-charge consultant.
  • Routines:
    • Attending weekly journal club sessions
    • Do case presentations in journal club – for peer learning review cases, interesting cases and mortality cases
    • Attending outpatient clinics - diabetes, endocrine, osteoporosis, weight management
    • Participate in DREAM diabetes programme
    • Involve in writing Protocols if it is required.
  • Extracurricular activities:
    • Case report write up
    • Research and papers
    • Poster presentations
    • Attend conferences
    • Involve in hospital and volunteer activities
    • Self-learning to update own knowledge from websites and journals.

    The doctor should possess:

    • Basic medical degree registrable with SMC and preferably with post-graduate training/qualification in medicine or equivalent recognized certification e.g., MRCP (UK).
    • Fluent in English, possess good interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
