Pioneer innovative clinical pharmacy services and mentor the next generation of pharmacists.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Takes on a role of an educator and lead trainer, from pre-registrants to senior pharmacists and above with the aim of training pharmacists to be advance generalists specialists.
  • Crafts out necessary learning objectives, curriculum, materials to ensure pharmacy department is well equipped with updated skills and knowledge.
  • Work in collaboration with other departments, clusters and/or organizations for cross department education and training.
  • Reviews written/electronic order form (medication chart, medication record or prescription) to ensure drug prescribed is appropriate.
  • Performs medication reconciliation.
  • Provides drug information service to health care professionals.
  • Involvement in clinical services such as attending multidisciplinary rounds and running ambulatory services.
  • Dispenses and counsel patient on medication prescribed by doctor.
  • Assigns, oversees and closely review the work of pharmacy assistants and technicians.
  • Participates in Pharmacy education and development programmes (e.g. providing lectures to Pharmacy personnel, other hospital employees, and students on attachments on pertinent topics).
  • Performs other pharmacy-related duties or ad-hoc quality departmental projects/activities as assigned by the Director/Reporting Officer.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • PharmD or equivalent degree recognized by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation and teaching.
  • Proven track record in developing new clinical services or training programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
