Hours: 37.5 hours a week (full time). Shifts will be from 8am at the earliest until 6pm at the latest, Shugborough is open 7 days a week so you will work any day Monday-Sunday, including weekends, which are worked on a rota basis.
Salary: £28,500 a year

What it's like to work here: Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll be based at Shugborough Estate (Milford, Stafford, ST17 0XB), home to the Anson family since 1624. The estate includes a Georgian mansion house, Grade 1 listed parkland, walled garden and working farm. It also features a café and tea room, second-hand bookshop and two retail outlets. Shugborough is supported by a passionate, engaging and hardworking team of staff and volunteers who love what they do and love sharing it with visitors.
What you'll be doing: As Food and Beverage Assistant Manager, you’ll be working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager. You’ll be helping with our large and complex business, keeping standards consistently high across the team, the outlets, and the food and drink we prepare and serve. You’ll always have an eye on ways to improve service and standards for our visitors. You’ll support the team to help build a great place to work. This could include helping with recruiting and training new people or developing the team and reviewing their performance in the light of feedback and service scores from our customers. You’ll be setting and achieving financial targets to increase income and profits and drive sales. You’ll do this through control of stock and waste and ensuring the best possible customer service. We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. - A good leader of people, skilled in setting personal objectives and giving feedback.
- Experienced with budgets to increase income and control costs (including managing stock and waste).
