This is an exciting opportunity to work in the event cinema industry, where stage meets screen. The International Sales Manager is responsible for managing and developing National Theatre Live’s international sales and distribution activity, with a particular focus on driving growth within the US market.

The role ensures the effective delivery of content to international partners and venues, maintains strong distributor relationships, and supports the smooth transition of distribution operations during a key period of organisational change. Working closely with teams across distribution, marketing, and finance, the International Sales Manager drives market growth internationally and ensures that all screenings are delivered to the highest technical and operational standards. Through proactive relationship management, strategic planning, and clear communication, the role contributes directly to expanding National Theatre Live’s international reach and revenue.

The successful candidates will have the following:

  • Experience and demonstrable knowledge of international film sales and distribution
  • Experience of managing a team across multiple departments
  • Knowledge of dealing with theatrical sales and contractual negotiations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting, pitching and negotiating
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to work with a proactive attitude
