Reporting to the Head Chef, the Chef de Partie will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. The main purpose is to support the head chef in managing the kitchen team, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring dishes are executed to the highest standards. The Chef de Partie plays a key role in inventory management, adhering to food safety and health and safety standards, record keeping and assists in running the kitchen efficiently and smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Own Your Section: Confidently run a section during service, delivering consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and pace.
  • Execute Exceptional Food: Prepare, cook, and present dishes using fresh, high-end ingredients and modern preparation techniques - always to spec.
  • Champion Quality: Work closely with the Head Chef to monitor standards, maintain quality control, and drive excellence across every service.
  • Support the Brigade: Assist with daily and weekly kitchen tasks, contributing to smooth operations and a strong team culture.
  • Manage Stock & Par Levels: Ensure menu items are fully prepped and par levels maintained to support flawless service delivery.
  • Communicate with Impact: Collaborate seamlessly with BOH and FOH teams to ensure coordinated, guest-focused service.
  • Lead on Safety & Compliance: Uphold all food safety, health & safety, and company policies - completing required H&S paperwork and end-of-night reporting.
  • Stay Service-Ready: Attend pre-service briefings and remain proactive throughout service to meet and exceed operational standards.
