At National Star, we're looking for an Occupational Therapy Deputy Manager to support the leadership and development of our Occupational Therapy service.
This is a temporary fixed term contract to cover the next academic year.
Working closely with the Occupational Therapy Manager, you'll help ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred therapy that enables learners to maximise their independence, achieve their EHCP outcomes and work towards their long-term aspirations.

About the role As Occupational Therapy Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day management of the Occupational Therapy team and deputise for the Occupational Therapy Manager when required.
You'll support therapists, assistants and apprentices across our sites, helping them to develop their skills and deliver outstanding support to learners.
Alongside maintaining your own clinical caseload, you'll oversee assessments and interventions, support workforce planning and staff development, and contribute to quality improvement across the service.
You'll work collaboratively with colleagues from across education, care and therapy services to ensure learners receive a joined-up, outcome-focused approach that supports their health, wellbeing and independence.
The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of specialist areas of practice, support placements and apprenticeships, promote continuing professional development within the team, and help shape the future direction of Occupational Therapy services at National Star.
About you You'll be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC, with significant post-registration experience and a passion for supporting young people with complex needs.
You'll already have experience of supervising, mentoring or leading colleagues and be confident in providing clinical guidance and support.
We're looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, strong clinical reasoning and a collaborative approach.
You will enjoy developing others, driving high standards of practice and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for learners.
