We have a senior full time teaching position within our team working 5 days (37 hours) over 40 weeks (term time plus one week), based at our college in Hereford. As a senior member of the team, it will be your job to support the College & Curriculum Manager with the management, training and development of Tutors / Personal Learning Coordinator Tutors (PLCTs), whilst also keeping a hands-on role to deliver high quality and stimulating learning for students with Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.
Multi-disciplinary work will be critical in your role so that you can ensure students maximise their learning, boosting their independence and wellbeing to prepare them for life after college. A large part of your role will involve liaising with other staff, external professionals and students’ families, supporting with transition planning as well as monitoring, recording and optimising the progress of learners.
With a full teaching qualification, your teaching career will ideally include experience in a Special Education Needs (SEND) environment, working with people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and/or learners with physical disabilities, Autism or Acquired Brain Injury. It goes without saying that you will also be a first-class communicator, who is creative, proactive and forward-thinking with excellent organisational skills.
The salary for this role is from £36,294 + (with pay review April 2026) depending on your level of experience: please talk to us about your requirements.
