Could you be a successful member of the National Star Retail Team? Our charity shops are vital in supporting National Star’s aim to transform the lives of young people with disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic retail deputy manager / supervisor to help support the growing network of charity retail shops across Gloucester, Cheltenham, Hereford, Tewkesbury and Cirencester.
You will be working ideally 3 days a week on a “floating” basis between the stores to help support day-to-day operations and staffing levels. As our stores are open all year round including weekends it is vital that you have full flexibility regarding working days and that you have transport to be able to move between the stores as required.
Ideally coming from a charity retail or fashion retail background, you will use your creativity, communication and customer service skills to enhance the full customer experience within the stores. It’s likely that you will understand merchandising, presenting clothing, homeware and books in a way that will encourage maximum sales. It would also be an advantage if you have experience of managing donations and stock.
You will have the support of the store management team but it would also be desirable that you have some supervisory experience to help with managing a team of volunteers.
