You’ll support National Star staff learners working toward Health & Social Care Diplomas and Apprenticeships (Levels 2–3), providing high quality assessment, and helping to shape the next generation of care professionals. With minimum of NVQ/Diploma level 2 Health and Social Care you will demonstrate a strong understanding of Care Certificate, CQC regulations, safeguarding, and sector legislation. You will ideally be a qualified assessor or be willing to undertake the assessor qualification as part of your induction. Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy will enable you to understand learners’ pressures and workplace challenges, and you will be comfortable adjusting to different care settings, learner needs, and assessment methods. Clear, confident, and adaptable communication skills will be essential to effectively interact with learners, employers, and IQA professionals. With a busy caseload you must be able to work unsocial hours and weekends as required to suit staff shift patterns across our sites in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford and Malvern. You will manage your own pressures and prioritise effectively to keep assessments on track and meet deadlines. You will also bring excellent administration skills to plan and deliver assessments whilst maintaining accurate learner records in line with awarding‑body requirements. In return, you’ll benefit from flexible working in a part time (30 hours a week) mostly term time role, with supportive colleagues, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organisation.
