What is the purpose of the Resource Coordinator?

As a Resource Coordinator, you will work with our two major helplines - Childline and Helpline - supporting the coordination and administration of frontline vacancies.

This role is key to creating an inclusive and wellness-focused work environment across the organisation to allow people to grow and thrive. You'll contribute by:

  • Ensuring compliance with key policies and safer recruitment strategies.
  • Supporting your team and others within the People Directorate as necessary, working collaboratively with others to provide a high quality service.
  • Helping is to maintain consistency and fairness across our processes and being a proactive contributor within the team.

What will I be doing as a Resource Coordinator?

This role ensures a consistent and fair process for recruiting within the NSPCC.

You will be a critical asset to hiring managers to ensure we are able to attract and onboard candidates who have the same passion and drive to provide vital services.

You will be a primary contact to guide managers through recruitment process and will develop and use your understanding of our processes to contribute to improvements.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Providing high quality advice and information on a broad range of recruitment topics
  • Supporting the management teams across Helplines to implement policies and procedures
  • Co-ordinating the recruitment process from advert to induction, and managing our recruitment candidate pools.
  • Acting as a main point of contact for prospective candidates, suppliers and other service providers
  • Supporting in the completion of applicable documentation and seeking guidance from within People Operations for complex issues, resolving problems and liaising with appropriate contacts
  • Maintaining our compliance with key policies covering recruitment and onboarding.

What skills do I need to be a Resource Coordinator?

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate key skills that will enable them to support with the coordination and administration of all frontline vacancies across the NSPCC Helplines including:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong and effective relationships
  • Proven organisational skills to identify conflicting demands and establish clear priorities to meet objectives
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, to a high standard in a fast paced environment.
  • Initiative in identifying improvements and solutions and embracing change.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintain accuracy and quality
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment
  • Experience of using Windows-based software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint)
