At the NSPCC, our mission is clear: to end cruelty to children by fighting for every childhood. Within the Engagement & Fundraising Directorate, our aim is to maximise resources for the NSPCC's mission by raising funds, providing the best possible supporter experience, and inspiring long‑term relationships between supporters of all kinds and our cause. We rely on the generosity of supporters across the UK for 90% of our annual income.

Are you a visionary and experienced leader with a passion for Mass Participation Fundraising? Do you have the drive to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people? If so, we want you to join our team as the Associate Head of Mass Participation Fundraising. In this role you will lead the delivery of fundraising from schools, third‑party events and DIY fundraising, looking to optimise ROI and to secure and deepen the relationship with thousands of supporters across the UK.

Our local and national services for children, including Childline, offer compelling reasons for individuals and teams to fundraise for children and young people. The challenges facing children today are significant, and the fundraising of supporters across community settings makes a huge difference to our ability to respond to these challenges.

As Associate Head of Mass Participation, you will motivate, guide, challenge and support a brilliant team of fundraisers to engage, support and retain a growing market of participation fundraising. This is a great time to lead our Mass Participation Fundraising team.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to influence and negotiate; liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling great collaboration across the charity, and someone who can prioritise a workload effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail

The role will entail significant cross‑department and cross‑directorate work, as well as collaboration with peers and colleagues at all levels across the organisation. The role is a hybrid, meaning there is a high degree of flexibility to work from home with an expectation to travel to our London office when required. There is a requirement to be able to travel to events (often at weekends), team‑based meetings and training, so you must reside in the UK and have the correct right‑to‑work documents to work in the UK.
