The Role
As a Refrigeration Trainer, you will deliver a mixture of apprenticeship training and specialist commercial courses.
You will work with established groups studying towards their apprenticeship qualifications, supporting learners from Level 2 and Level 3 through to End Point Assessment.
You will also deliver practical and technical training to experienced engineers looking to develop additional skills, as well as individuals entering the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry.
The role will involve a combination of classroom teaching, practical training and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and practical training across Refrigeration programmes.
- Teach Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeship learners
- Deliver commercial training courses to experienced engineers and new entrants to the industry.
- Provide practical, hands-on demonstrations and share real-world industry experience.
- Adapt your teaching approach to suit learners of different ages, abilities and experience levels.
- Support learners in developing the technical knowledge, practical skills and confidence required within the industry.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of existing training programmes.
- Take ownership of developing new courses and training opportunities where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with the wider training team to maintain high standards of delivery.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, technologies and best practice.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have
- Strong practical, hands-on experience within the industry.
- F-Gas Category 1 certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of all ages and backgrounds.
- A genuine passion for Refrigeration and for developing others.
- The ability to deliver a wide variety of technical and practical courses.
- The confidence to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
