Our client is looking for experienced Warehouse Operatives, Supervisors, or Team Leaders with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in warehousing operations to step into the role of Learning Development Mentor for Warehouse (LDM). While supervisory experience is ideal, it is not essential; what matters most is strong, practical knowledge of warehouse processes and a deep understanding of the real challenges and demands within the industry.

As a Warehousing Trainer, you will support apprentices working towards Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse and Warehouse Operations Supervisor apprenticeships, using your first-hand industry knowledge to develop their skills and prepare them for success.

Your impact:

  • Deliver engaging training: Conduct classroom, practical, online workshops, and 1:1 coaching to support apprentice development.
  • Manage a caseload of learners: Ensure timely completion and progression in line with apprenticeship standards.
  • Support learner onboarding: Conduct initial assessments, skills diagnostics, and individual learning plans to tailor learning.
  • Prepare learners for EPA (End-Point Assessment): Guide apprentices through structured learning and assessment preparation.
  • Provide wraparound support: Embed safeguarding, wellbeing, and career guidance into all learner interactions.
  • Maintain compliance and reporting: Keep accurate records, learner progress reports, and employer engagement documentation up to date.
  • Promote excellence: Ensure training meets education inspection framework (EIF) standards and industry best practices.

Personal Specification:

  • Looking for a motivated professional with hands-on experience in warehousing operations and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
  • Warehousing Expertise: Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader.
  • Qualified Professional: Holding a Level 3 qualification in Warehousing and/or Management.
  • Training & Assessment: Experience as an assessor, trainer, or coach supporting apprentices or employees.
  • Tech-Savvy: Confident using CRM systems, digital tools, and MS Office for planning and reporting.
  • Organised & Reliable: Able to prioritise multiple learners, keep records up to date, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong Communicator: Skilled in engaging and motivating learners, both in groups and one-to-one.
  • Compliance-Focused: Knowledge of safeguarding, apprenticeship standards, and education regulations.
  • Driving Licence & Access to a Vehicle: Essential for supporting learners in their workplaces.

Experience & qualifications:

  • Desirable: Assessor Qualification (CAVA/TAQA Level 3, A1, D32/33).
  • Experience delivering structured training workshops.
