We are looking for a passionate Residential Childcare Tutor to deliver outstanding teaching and learning to apprentices and employers. The Residential Childcare Tutor will manage a caseload of learners, ensure timely achievement, embed English and maths into delivery, and work closely with employers to maximise impact. You will also support business growth by identifying new apprenticeship opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, innovative teaching and learning that meets Outstanding standards
- Manage learner caseloads to ensure timely completion and strong progress
- Monitor learner performance, complete timely reviews, and maintain accurate electronic records
- Achieve targets for success rates, observations of teaching, and learner/employer satisfaction
- Embed English, maths, British Values, safeguarding, and Prevent
- Work collaboratively with employers as active partners in learning
- Identify new delivery opportunities and support business development activity
- Maintain compliance with audits, funding rules, and internal quality procedures
- Own your performance plan and engage in continuous professional development (CPD)
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 Maths and English (minimum)
- Level 2 ICT skills
- Relevant occupational competence and industry experience
- Teaching and/or Assessing qualification
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK right to work
- Car owner/driver
Desirable
- Knowledge of funded provision (e.g. ESFA)
- Experience delivering apprenticeships and End Point Assessments
