REMOTE WITH LEARNER VISITS IN EAST SUSSEX – 3 MONTH FTC
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Skills & Bootcamp Tutor to deliver high-quality, sector-relevant training to learners preparing for roles in community and clinical pharmacy settings. This role focuses on teaching, assessing, and supporting learners across a blended curriculum that aligns with DfE Skills Bootcamp standards, employer needs, and professional pharmacy practice requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery
- Deliver engaging and structured teaching sessions aligned with the Bootcamp curriculum, sector standards, and professional pharmacy practice.
- Facilitate practical skills development in dispensing accuracy, medicines management, patient counselling, and clinical decision-making.
- Integrate employability, safeguarding, British Values, and compliance themes into delivery.
- Use blended learning approaches (remote and face-to-face) to support diverse learner needs.
Learner Support & Progression
- Conduct initial assessments and develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
- Provide regular formative and summative feedback to promote learner development.
- Monitor learner progress against KPIs and maintain accurate learner records and e-portfolios.
- Support learners with career planning and progression into employment or further study.
Assessment & Quality Assurance
- Assess learner work against qualification and sector standards, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in internal quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ensure delivery, assessment, and documentation comply with Ofsted, ESFA, and awarding body requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with employers, recruitment teams, and sector partners to contextualize and enrich learning.
- Contribute to the design and development of teaching materials and assessment tools.
- Maintain positive professional relationships with learners, employers, and colleagues.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified pharmacist or Pharmacy technician (GPhC registration or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience in pharmacy practice and clinical skills.
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or training within a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Commitment to professional development and learner success.
- Commitment to safeguarding, learner welfare, and professional standards.
Desirable Requirements
- Teaching or training qualification (e.g., PGCert, DTTLS, or equivalent, AET).
- Experience in delivering vocational/bootcamp-style training or pharmacy education.
- Familiarity with Ofsted, ESFA, and awarding body compliance requirements.
- Experience in curriculum and assessment material development.
