Maths Teacher Full-Time β Permanent 36 hours per week, all-year round Location: West London The Opportunity A well-regarded Sixth Form provider is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Mathematics to join a supportive academic team delivering high-quality education at both A Level and GCSE. About the Role You will be teaching across a range of programmes, including: * AS and A Level Mathematics * A Level Further Mathematics * GCSE Mathematics * GCSE Statistics * Level 3 Core Maths (from September) There is a strong focus on teaching A Level and Further Mathematics, with scope for continued growth in these areas. Youβll also have the chance to work with a diverse and engaged student body, playing a key role in student induction, progression, and achievement. The Post 16 Centre uses the Pearson Edexcel specification for all maths qualifications and offers a unique standalone GCSE maths provision separate from other departments. Whatβs on Offer * A full teacher training qualification (Level 5) supported and funded by the Post 16 Centre if not already held * A collaborative and inclusive working environment * Opportunities for career development and CPD * A strong support system with a dedicated management and pastoral team * A highly experienced team of around 25 academic and support staff Responsibilities * Plan and deliver engaging lessons using modern teaching methods and technology * Support learners through assessment, feedback, and academic reviews * Participate in curriculum development and course reviews * Contribute to student recruitment, induction, and support activities * Maintain accurate records and attend staff meetings and events * Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and equality policies Ideal Candidate Essential: * Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field (e.g., Physics, Engineering) * GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above), or willingness to achieve it * Teaching experience in post-16 education, ideally up to A Level * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Passion for working with 16-19-year-olds * Commitment to professional development and student success Desirable: * Advanced degree in a relevant field * Recognised Level 5 or higher teaching qualification (PGCE, DET, etc.) * Experience teaching Further Maths or Core Maths Next Steps To express interest in this opportunity or request more information, please get in touch.
