This is a strategic and hands-on role, accountable for revenue, pipeline performance, employer partnerships, and ethical, compliant sales practice. You will work closely with Delivery, Quality, MIS and Compliance teams to ensure all growth activity is accurate, deliverable and outcomes-led. Delivery operations remain the responsibility of the Delivery function.
Key Responsibilities
- Sector Strategy & Proposition
- Develop and own a 12–24 month growth strategy for the Dental and Science/Life Sciences sectors.
- Build and refine sector propositions aligned to real workforce needs, including Dental Nursing, leadership and compliance-aligned training, and Science/Life Sciences technical pathways.
- Identify new programme opportunities and pricing approaches, ensuring feasibility, quality and compliance before employer commitment.
- Monitor sector trends, competitor activity and funding or policy changes to drive opportunity and manage risk.
- Growth, Revenue & Pipeline
- Deliver agreed targets for learner starts, revenue, pipeline value, conversion and retention.
- Own forecasting, CRM governance and reporting standards.
- Personally lead major employer opportunities, particularly multi-site dental groups and large science or life sciences employers.
- Employer & Key Account Management
- Build structured account plans to drive renewals, cross-sell and long-term partnerships.
- Develop senior relationships with owners, clinical leads, HR/L&D, operations and procurement stakeholders.
- Set clear and accurate employer expectations around responsibilities, timelines and compliance requirements.
- Partnerships & Market Presence
- Develop scalable routes to market, including sector bodies, employer groups, recruiters and industry partners.
- Lead tenders and framework opportunities where relevant.
- Represent the organisation at dental and science sector events to build credibility, visibility and inbound demand.
- Sales-to-Delivery Alignment
- Ensure high-quality handovers to Delivery and Onboarding teams.
- Work collaboratively to reduce early withdrawals and resolve delivery, onboarding or capacity risks early.
- Compliance & Ethical Growth
- Ensure all employer guidance and sales activity aligns with ESFA funding rules and apprenticeship compliance requirements.
- Maintain strong audit trails and CRM evidence.
- Champion safeguarding, Prevent and ethical growth focused on learner success and quality outcomes, not volume alone.

- Lead, coach and develop the Dental & Science growth team.
- Build team capability in consultative selling, sector expertise and compliance discipline.
- Recruit and onboard new team members as growth requires.
- Role-model inclusive, accountable leadership in a remote or hybrid environment.

- Experience selling into complex, multi-stakeholder organisations.
