National Skills Agency is delighted to be supporting a leading apprenticeship and skills provider in the recruitment of an experienced Apprenticeship Delivery Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and quality-focused Apprenticeship Delivery Manager to lead a team of Skills Coaches and Assessors, driving learner achievement, quality improvement and operational excellence across apprenticeship delivery.

Role Purpose

  • Lead and manage a team of Skills Coaches, Assessors and IQAs.
  • Drive learner achievement, timely completions and successful EPA outcomes.
  • Work closely with Quality and Operations teams to ensure high standards of delivery.
  • Support curriculum planning, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ESFA, Ofsted, Safeguarding, Prevent and internal quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and performance manage the Skills Coach team.
  • Monitor learner progress, reviews, gateway readiness and achievement.
  • Support the development of learning resources, schemes of work and training plans.
  • Ensure off-the-job training requirements are met and evidenced.
  • Support employers, mentors and apprentices throughout the learner journey.
  • Conduct observations, quality reviews, OTLAs and standardisation activities.
  • Manage team workloads, capacity planning and diary management.
  • Produce management reports and learner performance data for senior leadership.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding and development of delivery staff.

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain full compliance with quality assurance systems and procedures.
  • Support internal verification and preparation for external quality assurance activity.
  • Ensure safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and Equality & Diversity are embedded throughout delivery.
  • Monitor learner and employer satisfaction and implement improvement plans where required.
  • Drive achievement, retention and timely completion performance.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing apprenticeship delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, gateway and EPA requirements.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted, ESFA funding rules and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring and leadership skills.
  • Strong organisational, reporting and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
