Location: Ipswich

Salary: £29,000 - £36,000

Hours: 08:00–16:30 (Term Time Only)

Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

About the Role:

We are seeking a committed Study Programme Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), many with EHCPs. As a Study Programme Tutor you will support learners to achieve qualifications, develop skills and progress positively, working in line with Ofsted, ESFA and Awarding Body requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging study programmes aligned with funding and quality standards
  • Complete initial assessments and develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Deliver and support Functional Skills Maths and English
  • Monitor progress, attendance and learner engagement
  • Provide CEIAG, pastoral support and progression guidance
  • Liaise with parents, carers, employers and external agencies
  • Support work experience placements and employer reviews
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, equality and diversity standards are met
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, SAR and QIP
  • Provide personal care support where required

About You:

  • Experience teaching in an educational setting, ideally with SEND learners
  • Understanding of barriers faced by young people and effective support strategies
  • Knowledge of the FE sector, safeguarding, Prevent and equality & diversity
  • Strong communication, organisation and ICT skills
  • Flexible, resilient, learner-focused and a strong team player
  • Full UK driving licence

Essential Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Qualification (minimum)
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (or equivalent) in Maths and English
