About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Apprenticeship Assessor / Skills Coach with a strong background in delivering apprenticeship standards within the education and care sectors. The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational, communication, coaching, and learner-support skills, helping apprentices successfully complete their programmes while maintaining high-quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver apprenticeship standards for learners across:
- Teaching Assistant Level 3 and Level 5
- Residential Childcare
- Children and Young People's Practitioner
- Observe, review, and provide constructive feedback to learners studying at Levels 2–5.
- Support, motivate, and mentor learners throughout their apprenticeship journey to successful completion.
- Establish clear learning objectives and provide timely interventions to support learner progression.
- Conduct workplace visits, using vocational expertise and industry knowledge to support learners in achieving their apprenticeship standards.
- Manage and maintain an effective caseload, ensuring all learner reviews, visits, and administrative tasks are completed in line with KPIs.
- Collaborate with employers, stakeholders, and colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner experience while meeting quality and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of learning resources and delivery materials.
- Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2 (desirable).
Essential Requirements:
- Experience delivering apprenticeship standards in one or more of the following areas:
- Teaching Assistant Level 3 and/or Level 5
- Residential Childcare
- Children and Young People's Practitioner
- Experience holding a management-level position.
- Strong experience in workplace assessment, coaching, mentoring, and learner support.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and organise your own diary effectively.
- Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience delivering or supporting Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2.

- CAVA
- TAQA
- A1
- D32/D33
- Teaching qualification such as:
- PTLLS
- EAT
- Or equivalent teaching qualification
