To deliver high-quality teaching across A Level and GCSE History and Politics, supporting learners aged 16–19 in achieving strong academic outcomes and progression. Key Responsibilities * Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in History and Politics at A Level and GCSE. * Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and subject resources aligned with the curriculum. * Regularly assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback. * Use IT and digital tools to support curriculum delivery and student learning. * Support learners\’ development of study skills and subject confidence. * Prepare students for external assessments, progression, and further education. * Participate in recruitment activities, interviews, and promotional events. * Conduct student inductions and academic progress reviews. * Act as a tutor when appropriate, supporting attendance, retention, and achievement. * Maintain accurate records, including registers, reports, and assessment data. * Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and quality assurance. * Attend team meetings, standardisation sessions, and staff development activities. * Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports learner wellbeing. * Promote and apply safeguarding, equality, and diversity policies throughout teaching. * Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice.
