18.75 Hours Per Week KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with a caseload of learners to support with GCSE delivery and ad hoc Functional Skills where learner needs permits. * Understand and agree each learners starting point and skills development needs via initial assessments and diagnostics. * Deal with learner’s face to face in their academies in groups. * Take part in sanitation meetings and work collaboratively with fellow English and Maths peers and GCSE deliver manager to enhance curriculum and planning adhering to our clients and awarding body standards. * Ensure ILPS are completed appropriate to individual learner requirements, including SMART target setting and incorporating planned review points * Complete registers using our e portfolio and log quality samples of teaching and learning to highlight progress and distance travelled. * Monitor attendance of all learners on caseload and performance of the learners on an ongoing basis and effectively report to management * Ensure that support systems are provided to facilitate positive retention, achievement and progression * Timely completion of assessment and documentation to meet awarding body, funding body and organisational requirements * Contribute where appropriate to learner disciplinary action requirements * Undertake internal moderation activities as required * Responsible for the bookings of all Maths examinations for those on caseload as well as SLC assessments. * Work collaboratively with GCSE manager to ensure delivery targets are achieved. * Promote and ensure safe working practices in line with current Health and Safety legislation, including health and safety department inspections and risk assessments * Undertake appropriate learning and development activities as required for the job role and maintain a record of all CPD * Demonstrate company core values and vision * Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours * Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company * Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks at all times * Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times. * Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice guidance as part of your everyday role ROLE REQUIREMENTS * Qualified Tutor (at least a Level 3 specialism) * Minimum of 2 years teaching experience GCSE/Functional Skills * Teaching Qualification (at least a Level 3) * Driving Licence OTHER REQUIREMENTS DBS Checks Paul Feldman is the National Skills Agency Data Protection Officer.
